Denise Walker, LPC

Hi, I'm Denise. I'm glad you're here!

Many of my clients are successful, responsible, and deeply caring people who have spent years holding everything together for everyone else. They are the ones others depend on, yet beneath the surface they often struggle with anxiety, perfectionism, people-pleasing, burnout, and a constant sense of pressure to do more, be more, and get it right. While these patterns may have helped them navigate life in the past, they often come at the cost of self-trust, balance, and emotional well-being.

I believe these struggles don't develop in a vacuum. They are often shaped by family dynamics, cultural/societal expectations, life experiences, and the messages we've learned about our worth, responsibility, and place in the world. As a therapist from a Latino background, I offer a culturally attuned space where we can explore how identity, relationships, and family systems have influenced the way you move through life.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and holistic. Together, we'll explore the patterns contributing to feeling stuck and build practical tools to help you navigate life with greater confidence and self-trust. My goal is not simply to help you manage symptoms, but to support meaningful and lasting change that aligns with your values and the life you want to create.

I view healing through a whole-person lens, recognizing the connection between mind, body, and spirit. Because every client is unique, I draw from a variety of evidence-based approaches—including ACT, CBT, DBT, IFS, and somatic therapies—to tailor our work to your individual goals and needs.

If you're ready to begin that process, I'd be honored to support you!
