Adam Whitney, LPCA

I aim to provide a safe, welcoming environment where clients can explore their challenges openly and without judgment. My goal is to help clients find a balance between accepting where they are in life and identifying areas where they can make positive, meaningful changes. I work collaboratively with my clients to create a path forward that aligns with their values and goals.

I practice a holistic approach to therapy, focusing on the integration of mind, body, and spirit to tailor a personalized treatment plan for my clients. I draw on both Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients develop practical skills for managing difficult emotions and thought patterns. I work with adults facing a wide range of life issues, from everyday stressors to more complex challenges like anxiety, depression, and major life transitions. Whether you're struggling with mood disorders, navigating a career change, managing family dynamics, or seeking clarity in relationships, I’m here to provide support as you work through these moments.

Outside of the office, I’m often enjoying the Charleston area at the beach, finding the perfect fishing spot, or exploring downtown. I’m also passionate about Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, which I recently began practicing. At home, I spend time with my wife and our dog, Rudolph.
